Scott Lafevers, owner and operator of BYOH Outfitters, bring to the outfitting industry 12 years of experience. His extensive knowledge was earned as a backcountry / wilderness ranger, packer for the U.S. Forestry Service, and National Park Concessionaires. His love of nature and desire to see it preserved led him to found BYOH Outfitters. He developed his clinics and pack trips to help horse owners and non-owners alike experience the fun and adventure of pack trips while learning minimal-impact wilderness skills.

His expertise in horsemanship, packing systems, and wilderness skills enable Scott to provide a unique learning environment. One-on-one training of you and your horse makes learning easier while the subsequent pack trip reinforces the lessons of the clinic. Not only do you learn valuable horsemanship and packing skills, but you have a whole lot of fun too!

BYOH also specailizes in trips for groups, families, women, scenic tours, photography outings, fishing and wildlife viewing. BYOH Outfitters is based in Mimbres, New Mexico near the Gila National Forest.
